How to enable Javascript

 

Javascript is a language that we use on our website to make it interactive. Browsers usually allow Javascript to run automatically, but if you find that buttons and drop-down menus on our site aren’t working then it could be because your Javascript has been disabled.

To make sure that you can use all of the features of our website, follow these simple instructions to enable Javascript in your browser.

If you use Internet Explorer:

  1. Open the 'Tools' menu
  2. Select 'Internet Options' (the Internet Options box will appear)
  3. Click on the 'Security' tab
  4. Click on the globe icon to select the internet zone
  5. Click on the 'Custom level' button (the Security Settings box will appear)
  6. Scroll down to the 'Scripting' section
  7. Under 'Active Scripting', select the 'Enable' radio button
  8. Click 'OK' to close the Security Settings dialogue box
  9. If you see 'Are you sure you want to change the security settings for this zone?', click 'Yes'
  10. Click 'OK' to close the Internet Options dialogue box
  11. Close and restart Internet Explorer.

If you use Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open the 'Tools' menu
  2. Select 'Options' (the Options dialogue box will appear)
  3. Click on the 'Content' tab
  4. Tick the 'Enable Javascript' box
  5. Click 'OK' to close the Options dialogue box.

If you use Opera:

  1. Click on the 'Tools' menu
  2. Select 'Preferences'
  3. Click on the 'Advanced' tab
  4. Click on the 'Content' option
  5. Check the 'Enable Javascript' checkbox
  6. Finally click on the 'OK' button

If you use Safari:

  1. Click on 'Safari' at the top of the browser window
  2. Select 'Preferences' and a dialogue box will appear
  3. Select the 'Security' tab in the dialogue box
  4. Tick the 'Enable Javascript' box
  5. On closing the dialogue box, the settings should save.

If you use Google Chrome:

  1. Right click the Google Chrome icon in your desktop, then click Properties
  2. Click Shortcut tab
  3. Remove -disable-javascript parameter in the Target field
  4. Click the OK button

Once you have enabled Javascript, you may have to press the 'F5' key on your keyboard to reload the page or restart the browser.
